The Purpose
of this page is to state what I believe the Bible.
I Believe in: that the scriptures of both the old and new testaments
are divinely and super naturally inspired by God, in their original transcripts,
without error. Therefore it reveals the principles by which God judges
us, and it is the final authority.
I Believe in: one true and living God. Existing in three persons, God
the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are one essence, distinct
in personal attributes.
I Believe in: God the Father, the first person in the trinity, and that
He reigns with providential care of His Universe.
I Believe in: Lord Jesus Christ, the second person in the trinity, which
was begotten of the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He was born
God in flesh. Led a sinless life. Died a vicarious death. Buried, and rose
on the third day.
I Believe in: Holy Spirit, the third person in the trinity. Equal in
deity to the Father and the Son. He inspired men to write the Holy Scriptures,
and enables men to understand the scriptures. He convicts of sin and of
righteousness. He empowers and enlightens the believer and the church in
worship, evangelism, and service.
I Believe in: the endurance of all true believers is assured. All of
those who has accepted Christ, will never fall away from the state of grace.
Believers may fall into sin through neglect, and temptation, and can bring
reproach on the cause of Christ. Because of their disobedience, this may
bring chastisement and judgement on themselves, but they will be kept by
the power of God.
I Believe in: evangelism, and missions. It is the duty and privilege
of every believer to endeavor to make disciples. This comes from the love
of God toward us, and then from us to others. The Great commission is other
reason to do this, because of this commandment, we must tell others.
I Believe in: Christian baptism is an act of obedience symbolizing the
believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's
death to sin and the burial of the old life, and resurrection to walk in
the newest of life in Christ Jesus. Since Jesus was immersed, it is only
befitting that we follow His example!
I Believe in: that the church is a local body of baptized believers,
who are associated with each other by a Covent or a similar doctrinal stand,
and the fellowship of the Gospel. They observe the two ordinances of Christ
and are committed to His teachings. Their goal or vision is to make disciples.
The church is Optimus. The church appoints some of their people to hold
the scriptural offices of Pastors, and Deacons.
I Believe in: that salvation is a free gift of God, entirely apart from
works, and is possessed by all who have by faith received the Lord Jesus
Christ as their personal Savior, and can not be obtained by {i.e. Baptism,
giving money, etc.}
